Subscription Policy
This policy describes how paid access to Syrax Academy works. It is part of the Terms of Service. Payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record.

1. Plans
Syrax Academy offers three plans. The exact features and limits shown on the pricing page always govern; the summary below describes the model.

Free. Available to every account, no payment required. Includes the first 10 lessons in full — their theory, their in-lesson practice exercises, and their quizzes — plus the core features shared by all plans: learning-progress tracking, personal notes, lesson reviews, notifications, and sync across devices. Lessons 11 and onward are locked. The Practicum (the separate topic-based practice trainer) can be browsed on any plan, but its exercises are solvable only on Pro.

Plus. Unlocks the theory and quizzes of all 110 lessons, including every future lesson we add and every course topic. Plus does not include the in-lesson practice exercises of lessons 11+ or the Practicum trainer — those are Pro features. The practice exercises inside the first 10 lessons remain free on Plus, exactly as they are on Free.

Pro. Everything in Plus, plus all in-lesson practice exercises across the whole course, the Practicum trainer with all its tasks, and full use of the in-browser code editor (writing code, running it, and seeing console output). Pro is available as:
- a recurring subscription, billed automatically at the interval shown at checkout; and
- a Pro Lifetime plan — a single one-time payment with no renewals.
Current prices, billing intervals, and any promotions are always those displayed on the pricing page and at Paddle checkout at the moment of purchase. Prices may include or exclude tax depending on your country; the final amount is shown by Paddle before you pay.
2. Activation
Paid access is attached to the Syrax Academy account you are signed in with when purchasing. Access is activated after Paddle confirms the payment — normally within minutes. If your paid features have not appeared within 24 hours of a confirmed payment, contact us with your receipt and we will activate it manually.
3. Automatic Renewal
Recurring subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, until cancelled. Paddle sends a payment receipt for every charge to the email used at checkout.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time:
- through the subscription-management link in any Paddle payment receipt email, or
- by emailing us at fiveattemptstudio@gmail.com from your account email.
Cancellation stops future charges. You keep your paid access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; no partial-period refunds are due for the remainder (see the Refund Policy for exceptions). The Lifetime plan has no renewals and therefore nothing to cancel.
5. Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle will retry it. If payment cannot be collected, the subscription ends and the account returns to the Free plan. Your learning progress, notes, and reviews are never deleted when a subscription ends — only access to paid content is paused, and it resumes if you subscribe again.
6. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices. For existing recurring subscribers, a price change applies only from a future renewal and only after prior notice via the in-app notification system and/or email through Paddle, giving you time to cancel before the new price takes effect.
7. Lifetime Plan Scope
"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Syrax Academy service: for as long as Syrax Academy operates, a Lifetime account retains Pro access with no further payments. The plan is personal and non-transferable. If Syrax Academy were ever permanently discontinued, that would not retroactively convert past access into a refundable service, except where consumer law provides otherwise.
8. Fair Use
Paid access is for one person's personal learning. Account sharing, resale of access, or bulk extraction of paid content are violations of the Terms of Service and may lead to suspension of the subscription without refund of the current period, except where prohibited by law.
