Cookie & Local Storage Policy
Syrax Academy is a browser application and stores small amounts of data on your device to work. Most of it is not classic cookies but browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). This policy lists everything the Service stores on your device and the third-party storage involved.

1. Storage Set by Syrax Academy Itself (Essential / Functional)
Stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never contains payment details and is not used for advertising.

Without this storage the Service cannot function: you could not stay signed in, and guest progress and notes would be lost on every reload.
2. Analytics Storage
We use Firebase Analytics (Google). It stores an identifier on your device and collects aggregate usage data: sessions, screens viewed, general device and browser characteristics, and approximate location derived from IP address. We use this only to understand how the Service is used. We do not run advertising and do not share analytics data with advertisers.

3. Payment Storage (Paddle)
When you open the checkout, Paddle — our payment provider and Merchant of Record — may set its own cookies strictly to process the payment, prevent fraud, and remember checkout state. These are governed by Paddle's own policies: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy
4. What We Do Not Use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No cross-site tracking.
- No third-party analytics other than Firebase Analytics.
- No social-media widgets or embedded trackers.
5. Your Choices
- You can clear the Service's stored data at any time via your browser settings (site data for the Syrax Academy domain). Note: for guests this permanently deletes local progress and notes; for signed-in users the account copy is restored on next sign-in.
- Blocking all storage in your browser will prevent signing in and saving progress.
- Analytics can be blocked with standard browser tools and content blockers without affecting the Service's functionality.
6. Changes
If the storage we use changes, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised.
