Refund Policy
This policy applies to all paid purchases on Syrax Academy. All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — Paddle is the seller of the transaction and issues refunds to the original payment method. Requests can be made either to us or directly through Paddle; the outcome is the same policy described below.
Contact: fiveattemptstudio@gmail.com (write from the email of the account that made the purchase and include your Paddle receipt number if possible).
1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
For your first purchase of any paid plan — the first payment of a recurring Plus or Pro subscription, or a one-time Pro Lifetime purchase — you may request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase, for any reason. Access to paid content is removed when the refund is issued.
2. Subscription Renewals
Automatic renewal payments are generally non-refundable, because you can cancel at any time before the renewal date and keep access until the period ends (see the Subscription Policy). As an exception, we will refund a renewal if:
- the renewal was charged after you had already requested cancellation;
- the charge was duplicated or otherwise erroneous;
- a refund is required by the consumer law of your country.
If you simply forgot to cancel, contact us within 7 days of the renewal charge — we handle such cases with goodwill and will normally refund a renewal during which paid content has not been accessed.
3. EU / UK Consumers
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. By purchasing, you request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that, once you begin accessing paid content, your withdrawal right may be limited accordingly — however, our voluntary guarantee in Section 1 is at least as generous as the statutory right and applies regardless.
4. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days (bank processing times may add a few days). Taxes collected on the purchase are refunded together with it.
5. Abuse
We may decline refunds in cases of abuse — for example, repeated purchase-and-refund cycles, refund requests after consuming a substantial portion of the paid content outside the guarantee in Section 1, or breaches of the Terms of Service (such as content scraping or paywall circumvention). Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights.
6. Chargebacks
If you dispute a legitimate charge with your bank instead of contacting us or Paddle, your account's paid access may be suspended while the dispute is investigated. Please contact us first — refund questions are almost always resolved faster directly.
